2012: Our first show was at the IOOF Lodge in Topeka, Kansas. We had a total of 10 vendor tables. The class room was in the same room as the vendor tables; so any time a class would start, everyone would run over and sit down. After the class, everyone would run back to the vendor area. We had 125 people attend our first show.

2012: Our second show was held at the American Legion Post 1 in Topeka, Kansas. We grew to 25 vendor tables and a separate class room. This show is where we started to give away door prizes. We also started our FB page just before this show. We had just under 200 guests attend our second show.

2012: Our third show was held at Forest Park Retreat in Topeka, Kansas. This show we is where we really started to grow. We had 40 vendor tables along with newly emerging Kansas businesses that showed up to get their start in the show circuit. We also broke new ground by holding drawings for bigger prizes. We gave away our first gun at this show, a NEF Pardner single shot 12 gage. We had 275 guests attend.

November 2012, we launched our Logo contest. We had several dozen applicants who came up with logos for our organization. In the end, we settled on a design by our friend Bill M. This became our official logo that year!

January 2013, our show was growing and we could no longer find a venue big enough in Topeka. So in 2013, we moved our show to Holton, Kansas. We also continued giving away prizes, expanding to four grand prizes, secondary prizes and door prizes. We had just over 300 guests attend this expo.

April 2013, We were growing by leaps and bounds. We had 75 vendor tables, and 350 guests attended this event. We gave away double the prizes as we did in January and were featured on three local radio shows and podcasts. We had a mounting interest in the show and our variety of vendors expanded. In addition to all of that, we were able to have our first website published.

Summer of 2013, the Kansas City Preppers Network decided to put on an Expo of their own. We assisted them and sponsored their event. They put on their first show in Gardner, Kansas. They boasted 300 guests at their first show. We held our first silent auction at this event to raise money for our fall show that year. We are very proud to be a part of the KCPE’s expo.

September 2013, was our second show in Holton, and our first time having consecutive shows in one location. The community in Holton was very receptive to us and we began to get local businesses involved in sponsorship’s and special promotions. We had around 350 guests attend this show.

May 2014, we decided to move to a spring date for our show in 2014. At this show, we had 90 plus vendor tables! It was the largest show we had ever put on. We gave away a ton of prizes and had a great class line up. At this show, we had local politicians and the media attend. We boasted 500 guests!

April 2015, became our largest break out roll. Due to unforeseen events, we were forced to find a new home. We settled on historic Abilene, Kansas. This was also our very first two day show, with grand prize drawings happening both days! We had all day classes and brought in celebrities from the prepper movement. We had over 550 guests at this show.

September 2015, once again, Kansas City Preparedness Expo put on a show. They too, moved to a two day show and multiple prize drawings. In the tradition that is the Kansas Prepper Expo, we sponsored their show and put our full support behind them. We also launched our line of products that we now sell exclusively at other shows. KCPE had around 400 guests attend.

October 2015, now that our show is fully established, we are branching out and exhibiting at other shows to promote our annual state-wide Expo. We are the original and best prepping show Kansas has. So to make our presence known on a grand scale, we are going to be at Mother Earth News Fair with our line of products, and information about the upcoming Expo in 2016!
